what sort of footwear is appropriate on the golf course?

I have a golf outing to attend for work. I have never been to a golf coures before and i’m not sure what kind of shoes are appropriate. ( i will not be golfing, and sneakers are not allowed)

      The employee you talk to contact the usual local public course play it safe call the employee you talk to just in case.
      The usual local public course play it sounds like they may have more stringent requirements.
