Do I need special clothes or shoes to play golf?

I am not a golfer but I am going tomorrow. Can I wear something I already have or do I need something special? Are regular tennis shoes acceptable?

Depends if its a nice place wear like
khakis with a collared shirt,
if its not a nice place than just a tshirt or watever is good, and if your good than u should use shoes, but if your not serious than just tennis shoes is fine

Usually you’ll need a collared shirt and some shoes with plastic spikes.

regular tenis shoes are fine, but if you are going to a private golf club i would suggest wearing a collared shirt and no jeans.

most every course will have some sort of dress code. but all you have to do is call them and ask. not every course requires a collard shirt. most public don’t.
regular tennis shoes will be fine. but most course have a problem with metal spiked golf shoes.
