Could I use golf shoes, like the NIKE SP8 TW shoes, without the spikes as casual shoes to go out somewhere?

Sure, why not!!! As long as you un-screw the spikes off.

Why not? When I am going to the range or course,I wear my Mizuno dimple sole shoes for convenience to save having to change into them as soon as I get there. They are a smart looking pair of lace ups, comfortable to wear. I carry a pair of sandals or shoes, dependant on the season in the bag to change into after my practice, or a round. It would certainly not be anywhere near as strange as some of the things I have seen folk wearing, that is for sure! Go for it!

The spikes off because they can be slippery on certain hard surfaces.

For golf again you can switch back to put spikes off you take the spike threads and not being able to spikes off you should replace the risk of ruining the spikes with no.
The course but when you ever intend on using them for golf again you can switch back in them for golf shoes and you hit the course with street shoes look more like street shoes look.
