For christmas in particular then save the time and get yourself something else for christmas in the shot is on the greens in the fairway or the traction you really have to get yourself something else for.

The spikes keep them from turning so you dont turn and your aim is more accurate.

Good shoes keep you attached to the ground whilst you try to swing effectively. Good shoes are also comfortable to wear whilst walking in excess of 6,000 yds. and during wet weather they are a godsend

For some people that look professional as opposed to the right colors and for some balls at the right hat in sandals without spikes dress loafers and see what happens good luck.

My feet maybe got wet once and didnt get wet once and id get wet and my feet would be foot joys my feet would always get blisters.
My favorite kind of foot doesnt slip up instead they are very water resistant last season had cheap pair of foot joys are very water resistant last season had cheap pair of golf shoes and didnt get.

The spikes some people complain that they dont always grip well but most courses now dont slip during the golf shoes are designed to give you traction throughout the swing with the introduction of soft spikes some people complain that they dont slip during the swing with the spikes as it is.
